"Those words echoed in her mind as she numbly slid the door open. She didn't look back as she stepped out of her father's apartment for the last time, to look back would dredge up too many memories right now. Right now all she could think about was what just transpired in the dining room. The mundane evening that had so quickly taken a turn for the worst, with crimson consequences.
Now she was alone, all alone in a world that was going mad.
She glanced down at her shaking hands at her jacket. She had grabbed it out of habit as she fled the apartment. Coldly she wrapped it around her waist in a tight knot. Somehow it comforted her a little, like a tourniquet for the wound that was her parent's bleeding, lifeless bodies that swam in her mind.
A tear ran down her sodden cheek, but she knew that it wasn't over. She had to be strong or she would go the same way as her parents, and she knew they wouldn't have wanted that. They would have wanted her to be strong, to keep her chin up and plod on into the days. Even if they were the worst days of her life, the only thing that was important was that she persevere.
That she survive."
Tragedy, thy name is Zoey, and with nothing but these bare hands, tied jacket and God himself as witnesses, the forces of shamble are going to suffer some real footprint experiences for it.

Dressed up to resemble her appearance in the promotional comics of Left 4 Dead 2's The Sacrifice update, in her backstory before the long perilous, Night at the Roxbury-esque journey across the eastern United States with Patten's twice removed cousin, Shaun of the Chocolate and that one guy from the Village People. Travel lightly, carry a machine gun, and keep bandages for the feet in stock, its time for the adventure!
